echo “Hello world\n”;

Greetings. I plan to use this blog as a sounding board for my information security ideas, ramblings, and rants.

What I really enjoy about information security is how immature the industry is as a whole. One of the best aspects of the  information security industry is the lack of automation, integration, and measurement. How many times have you reached for an Excel spreadsheet to do vulnerability management? Is vulnerability management about creating tons of pages of scary data?

With this in mind, I have registered automatingsecurity.com. Recently I also acquired securitycontent.com.  Securitycontent.com doesn’t sound like anything to do with security automation, but it does happen to be the first two characters in the acronym SCAP (Security Content Automation Protocol). Which domain should I use for this blog? AutomatingSecurity.com or SecurityContent.com?

Till next time..

Aharon

    My vote is for AutomatingSecurity for discussions and SecurityContent as a repository and/or discussion site for SCAP related content.
